Team Building Days

Does your team need to be rewarded for all of their hard work or are they in need of team building to ensure everyone is on the same page?  Pilbara Tours might have just the answer.

Any team building or rewards day should be fun and one that takes their mind off the stresses of the current challenges they may face in their work and personal environments.

The following Team Building Day is proposed as a concept in the first instance. Once the concept and budget is agreed, a detailed package will be developed and sent to you for final approval.

Thanks to our partnership with Dampier Salt Ltd, our Fishing Tours are conducted on wetland environments not accessible to the general public.  To ensure future populations and a thriving marine environment, fishing is based on sustainable methods of Catch and Release.

The Team Building Day will be designed to assist in building team and individual moral, interpersonal communication, teamwork and create an environment where teams build trust and empathy.

Concept Example:

The Team Building Day will be centred around fishing at the Dampier Salt Intakes, 40 Km’s east of Port Hedland. Teams of 10 or less will be set fun challenges.

Team members will be scored on both fishing and other team challenges. For example, points will be awarded for individual members catching fish, fish species caught and overall length of all fish caught. Other team challenges (ie fun activities on the day) will also result in points awarded.

The points system encourages the team to plan, communicate and participate collectively and individually. It also encourages the team to get all members involved.

The following schedule is an example only:

8:00  am           Leave Port Hedland and Drive to Site in the Pilbara Tours Bus. A safety briefing will be conducted by video during the bus trip.

8:45  am           Arrive and discussion about the day including team challenges and points system.

9:00  am           Team Challenge 1 – planning and communications ice breaker exercises. (activities to be agreed)

9:30  am           Morning tea

10:00am           Round one Fishing Challenge.

12:30pm           Lunch with discussion about team challenges, fishing brag stories etc

1:00  pm           Round two Fishing Challenge.

2:45  pm           Packup and leave site

3:30  pm           Walkabout Hotel –Team winners announced

4.30  pm           Finish

Optional extra to include a “Welcome to Country and Aboriginal cultural experience”.

Long sleeve shirt, closed in shoes, hat, safety glasses (can be purchased if required) and sunscreen.
